Terms and Conditions

1. All block booking payments are non-refundable. In exceptional circumstances, and at the instructor’s discretion, any refunds must be arranged directly with the instructor.

2. You must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence and present it to your instructor at the start of your first lesson. Failure to do so will result in the lesson being cancelled without a refund.

3. It is your responsibility to be on time for lessons. Lessons will not be extended to compensate for late arrival.

4. If you fail to attend a lesson, the instructor is entitled to retain the full lesson fee, and the time will be deducted from your course hours.

5. If your instructor does not hear from you for more than three weeks and you fail to respond to messages, your place and any pre-paid lessons may be forfeited.

6. If pre-paid deals are not completed before you pass your practical test, any unused lesson time will be recalculated at the standard lesson rate and the remaining balance refunded. A break of more than three weeks without contact will result in loss of pre-paid deals.

7. Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed for any reason, will be charged in full.

8. The instructor reserves the right to refuse use of the driving school vehicle for a practical test if, in their opinion, the chances of passing are unrealistic.

9. If the instructor’s vehicle is unavailable on the test day due to illness or mechanical failure, we will attempt to arrange an alternative instructor. If this is not possible, test fees will be refunded unless sufficient notice was provided.

10. If a practical test is cancelled by the DVSA, the test fee is normally refunded by them. Lessons booked on the same day are subject to the 48-hour cancellation policy.

11. The instructor may refuse to proceed with a lesson if abusive language, threatening behaviour, or substance misuse is suspected.

12. Complaints must first be raised directly with the instructor. If unresolved, complaints should be submitted in writing to info@mhds.uk.

13. Lessons will be cancelled without refund if you attend under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication, or any substance that impairs driving ability.

14. In accordance with GDPR, personal information will be retained for up to one year after course completion. Requests for earlier deletion should be sent to info@mhds.uk or call 01274 900177.

15. All lessons and courses must be paid for on or before the lesson start date.

16. All bookings must be completed within one year of purchase, after which they will expire.
